1. Product Overview
This Upper Hinge Garnish Checking Fixture is a compact customized precision inspection tool specially developed for automotive upper hinge decorative plastic garnish parts. It is manufactured strictly according to product 3D digital model and GD&T drawing standards, used for offline dimensional inspection, contour verification and assembly matching test of small hinge trim pieces during mass production.
It is widely applied for incoming inspection, molding trial sampling and finished product quality confirmation of exterior & interior hinge garnishes, to guarantee consistent contour, hole position and flushness performance when assembled on vehicle door/body hinge structure.
2. Core Inspection Functions
Full Contour & Outer Profile Inspection
CNC-machined profiling cavity fully replicates the theoretical shape of upper hinge garnish, to detect part warpage, shrinkage, deformation and surface contour deviation. The red outline scribed on the fixture base serves as visual reference for quick contour comparison.
Mounting Hole Position & Aperture Verification
Built-in precision gauge pins inside the profiling mold check position tolerance and size of all fixing holes and positioning bosses on the garnish, ensuring accurate fitment with hinge assembly.
Edge Flushness & Matching Gap Detection
Dedicated limit detection blocks along the garnish edge verify assembly gap and flushness between the decorative cover and vehicle body panel after installation.
Integrated Pneumatic Functional Inspection
Equipped with pneumatic clamping cylinder (right side red handle air cylinder) to simulate actual vehicle assembly clamping force, check if the garnish fits tightly without bouncing, dislocation or loose fit.
Visual Appearance Auxiliary Check
The fully fitted profiling surface supports quick screening of surface defects including scratches, sink marks, flash and molding burrs on the garnish surface.
